Is it possible to have multiple domains for different pages

Hello,
I have started a WordPress.com site for a non-profit company and have been currently adding content. I originally purchased a domain (aksmileybookstore.com) and set it as the primary domain (it currently links to the A.K. Smiley Bookstore static page). I recently purchased another domain (friendsofsmileylibrary.org) that I hope to link directly to the “Friends” portion of the website (aksmileybookstore.com/fotl). Is this possible? If so, how could I map the second domain to the page I want it to link to? Thank you for your help.

Hi there,
What you can do is create another WordPress.com site that points to the domain: friendsofsmileylibrary.org. Then you can add that site as a link in your Custom Menu.
So, create another blog in your account by going to wordpress.com > My Blogs. On the left will be a link to create another blog. Create another blog with all the content you need. Then I can transfer the domain: friendsofsmileylibrary.org to that site. Then, once that’s all set up, you can add a link to that site in your menu on aksmileybookstore.com.

Because the organization paid for the premium on aksmileybookstore.com, I signed up for a free site.

If you are still seeing the aksmileybookstore.com site instead, can you please try clearing out your cache and cookies using the guide below?
Now, that the domain has been transferred, create that site, and you can add the link friendsofsmileylibrary.org to your Custom Menu.

Thank you for your help, Grace. I’ve encountered a new problem, however.
I’ve attempted to add “http://friendsofsmiley.org” as a custom link menu to “aksmileybookstore.com;” however, the link is not appearing in the menu on the site after saving my menu changes.
And I am curious about how the new site will interact with the original site as well. I would have preferred that the first site acts as “parent” to the second (that is: bookstore is parent to friends), so that I can unify the theme and have the entire site (both bookstore and friends) to be one entity and only needed to be edited once and can be searched throughout. Once the link is set-up will it act in this way? If not, I would prefer to remove the custom domain and set it up via a service that would allow domain forwarding.

You would have to create this site to look exactly like your current one.
As for the domain forwarding – I’m not sure what you mean? You can have a domain point to a site on WordPress.com, which is what we are doing. As for forwarding a domain to a specific page – that wouldn’t be possible here.
Currently this is what you should be seeing at http://friendsofsmileylibrary.org:
If you are still seeing your old site when you go to http://friendsofsmileylibrary.org- it is a caching issue. Currently your menu is set up as it should be; however, it is not appearing on your site because you haven’t set the location of the menu. Please go to Appearance > Menus in your Dashboard. Then at the top click on Manage Locations. Then select the menu you created and click on Save Changes. Then, please clear out your cache and cookies using the guide below:
Now, all you have to do is apply that same Suits theme to http://friendsofsmileylibrary.org and create that site to look like your current site: aksmileybookstore.com.

Grace, I appreciate all your help, but I feel like this system (I’m know a wordpress platform issue, not yours) is convoluted. My goal was to have a one-site entity, and not have to create (and therefore maintain two sites to be identical).
The other issue with having two sites unified only in appearance, is that the theme’s built-in search will only search the one “part” of the site or the other. I don’t find this very usable for our needs.
I have managed custom domains (outside of wordpress) that will forward, or redirect, to the exact path I want.
If possible, I would love to use an outside source of which I am familiar to do a similar redirect with “friendsofsmileylibrary.org,” so I am not sure if I can have a “refund” of the domain transaction or transfer of the domain to another service (which will allow redirects). If not, I will come up with another potential solution.

If you are able to get what you want elsewhere, I’d be happy to help you host your domain elsewhere. Since your domain was registered less than 60 days ICANN does not allow you transfer your domain registration elsewhere. If you want to keep these domain names, please do not cancel your domain. Once you cancel there is a good chance you won’t be able to register these domains again. Only cancel if you plan to never use these domain again. If you plan to use them, just keep it registered with us and update the nameservers to your new host.
You’ll need to obtain the name server values from your current host. You should be able to find them on their support documentation, or contact them and ask for the information. (Name servers may be referred as “nameservers” or “NS records” instead.)
After 60 days you are welcome to transfer the registration as well!
