Is it possible to revive an expired account and it’s content?
-
Years ago I managed a blog site called On Loving Lucy, using one of the two URL’s above. I let the page expire due to low traffic, thinking I had all of the posted content stored elsewhere. It turns out I’m missing some of the sections and I’m dying to know if it can be recovered. Can someone with WordPress be a hero?
WP.com: Yes

THANK YOU for getting back to me.
The site was called (either) onlovinglucy.com, or (email visible only to moderators and staff).
Also, in case it’s useful, we had an article get Freshly Pressed in, I believe, the spring of 2012-15 (it seems so long ago, I wish I could be more specific). It was titled Sisters.

If you mean https://onlovinglucy.wordpress.com/ it still exists, but it belongs to a different account here, not the one you’re currently logged in under.
If you do not recall the password for the correct account, we have some options for you at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
onlovinglucy.com was registered under that same account and attached to that site, but the domain expired with us May of 2019 and is currently owned by someone else through a different registrar: https://whois.domaintools.com/onlovinglucy.com

Holy Moly that’s it! https://onlovinglucy.wordpress.com/ is the one, and I don’t know how I didn’t realize it was still there. How do I restore myself as account holder? I recall neither the username or password, but I’m pretty sure the email account associated was (email visible only to moderators and staff)

I see where you’ve directed me to the account recovery page; it’s just that I’m unsure how to begin since it tells me that onlovinglucy.wordpress.com is Unavailable…

If you don’t recall the email address, we have some additional options at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form
You’ll need to log out of WordPress.com at https://wordpress.com/me first.
