Is it still possible to use the Classic Editor

    Hello, I’ve been wanting to return to WordPress for a few years now but I am put off by the block editor. I would prefer using the simplicity of the classic editor instead. Is it possible to use it? Please explain how.

    Hi there,

    Yes you can use the classic editor by following the instructions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/classic-editor-guide/

    Please note that while we do keep the classic editor available, we no longer develop it actively to add new features. Instead, you may wish to use a mixture of classic editor and blocks (for things that cannot be found in the classic editor) and you can do that by switching using the block editor, but putting the “classic block” within that layout: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/

    This will essentially let you combine the two interfaces by placing a smaller version of the classic editor within the newer block editor.
