Is my blog being indexed by Google?

  The Robot.txt on Google Webmaster Tools says that I have 37 URLS blocked. Does that mean that my blog is not being indexed?
  When starting my blog I asked that search engines not index it through the privacy settings. About a week ago I changed it to allow search engines to index. How long does it take to see a change? Is there something I need to do?
