Is the custom CSS 10gb bundle the same as hosting your own WP site?

    I am wondering if buying the 79.99 bundle offered when you click “customize” on wordpress.com is the same as hosting a wordpress site yourself and having all the functionality of editing your site, building themes, changing CSS and uploading files. I am going to do one or the other with my site but if I can avoid the hassle of setting up a separate hosting account and installing wordpress, then transferring all of my content then I would do it.

    Well, that would depend on the hosting provider you choose.

    When you install WordPress on a hosting provider, you can adjust all theme files, and you can upload files. However, hosting providers charge for space, so you may not get 10 GB, it could be more or less.

    Also, the prices of hosting providers vary a bit, so you could wind up paying more or less than $79/year.
