Is there a secure area with WordPress servers where I can store my API key?

    Is there a place where my webpage (password protected) can call via PHP script as a relay. This relay will then add my private API key and make a call to my internal system (using cURL commands) to retrieve a response. This response (without my API key) will then be sent back to my webpage?

    I believe this place is called a ‘backend’ in Wix.

    Much appreciated if anyone can help.

    We cannot use php scripting here at WordPress.com, except with the Business plan.

    Can you verify the site you are wanting to add the scripting to?
