Is there a step by step guide to restore my WordPress site?

    Bad developers lead to court cases which finally got me my website data back. Having very minimal WP experience, I was hoping there is a step by step guide to restore the website data I got from the hosting company. It appears all data is accounted for, I just need to sort out getting it where it needs to be with my GoDaddy hosting account. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Please contact GoDaddy support for help with this.

    You are using the open source WordPress software, not WordPress.com, and we have no control over your hosting account or any sites you set up with GoDaddy. The data you got from the other hosting company also cannot be restored to a WordPress.com site, as we don’t provide the server access needed to do that.

    Essentially you’ll need to upload the files you received directly to your GoDaddy server via FTP access or directly to the database in PHPMyAdmin, but many hosting providers have a specific process in place for doing this, so your best option is to contact GoDaddy directly.
