Is there a way for blog entries to truncate automatically?

  Hello. I know I can use the more tag to shorten the appearance of posts on a page, but is there a way for this to be done automatically for every post? I don’t want to have to use the more tag each time (there are multiple authors posting and someone may forget to do this) or go back in to edit posts that do not have the tag.

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately, there wouldn’t be a way to automate this for all your posts. The only thing I can think of is changing the actual theme. One of my colleagues wrote out all the themes that were designed to have excerpts here:
