Is there a way to manage two separate sites within one WP interface?
-
Hi! I have two blogs – one is public (it’s my dog’s :)) and one is private right now. Each are associated with different email addresses. I would like to be able to manage both sites within the WordPress app on my iPad as well as from my desktop. I have tried using the ‘Add self-hosted’ process in the iPad app, but all that does is remove one site and replace it with another. I don’t want use the other option which is to ‘create’ a site because both sites are established. I can’t find anything helpful in the forums or elsewhere online. Is there a way to manage two separate sites within one WP interface? Many thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The add self-hosted option only applies if you have a WordPress site that’s not on WordPress.com. The problem is that the sites are associated with different emails, i.e. different accounts.
To manage both sites in the app without constantly logging out and back in, you’ll need to invite the one username as an admin on the site that belongs to the other username. That will give your one account access to both sites.
When creating a new post, you’ll be able to select which username should appear as author of the post. But please note that when replying to comments it will always use the username you’re logged in as.
You can invite an admin to a site under My Site ->People in the browser view.
Inviting Contributors, Followers, and Viewers
If it’s not crucial for you to use two different usernames, the simpler solution is to transfer the one site to the other account. That way one username will own both sites, and both will appear in the app if you log in as that user.
You can find instructions how to transfer ownership of a site here:
