Is this a Domain expiry?

Hi all!
I think my domain for may have expired, but I’m not sure – when visiting my website i receive the error:
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.I am confused, though, as I have a domain through another company, and understood WordPress just hosted my site. In my ‘domains’ tab it reads:
nigelmarshblog.wordpress.com
Primary Domain
Type:Included with Site
Renews on:Never ExpiresThanks for any help!

What is the domain? I don’t see any domain mapping upgrades in the account you’re using to contact us, and the site at http://nigelmarshblog.wordpress.com/ also has never had any upgrades connected to it.

Okay, your domain has not expired. The domain mapping upgrade that connects it to your WordPress.com site has.
That domain was connected to the other site in your account, https://fffu.wordpress.com/, but the mapping upgrade belonged to another user, allenandunwinau, who used to be an admin on that site. Looking at our logs they transferred ownership of that site to your account about 11 months ago, but they were still the owner of the domain mapping upgrade until it expired a few weeks ago.
To reconnect your domain to that site you’ll need to add a new domain mapping upgrade. We no longer sell domain mapping as a stand-alone upgrade, and it is no longer possible to restore the expired upgrade to the site. So to add a new domain mapping you will first have to purchase a new plan at My Site ->Plans. Then you’ll be able to map the domain again at My Site ->Domains ->Add.
Once you add a new mapping upgrade, the domain should start loading your site again immediately.

This makes sense to me, but I’m not sure whether I’ll need to add the mapping upgrade to https://fffu.wordpress.com/ or nigelmarshblog.wordpress.com/?

https://fffu.wordpress.com/ is the site where all your content is, and that’s the site the mapping upgrade used to be connected to. That site used to belong to a different account, but now belongs to you.
https://nigelmarshblog.wordpress.com/ is completely empty, and was originally the only site in your account until you were made an admin on fffu, which was then later transferred to you.
So https://fffu.wordpress.com/ is the one you need to upgrade here to have things as they were before.
