Hi Eduard. I just tried adding LinkedIn to my personal WordPress.com profile (Gravatar) and had no problems. If you haven’t already done so, empty your cookies and delete your cache memory and try again:

Thanks for your tip. First tried emptying the browsing history only and that only chaned the error message I was receiving. Then I deleted everything including cookies (as I noticed that some .js weren’t deleted the first time), but the error message remained:

Thanks for your help so far,

Update: I just tried it with Google Chrome and it didn’t work either. While I didn’t see an error message, my LinkedIn profile wasn’t added.
Thanks,

What are the security restrictions on your LinkedIn account? If they’re set so that only connections can see your profile, you will not be able to connect it with WordPress.com, I am pretty sure.

Hi Raincoarster,
thanks for the tip. Indeed, it solved my problem. If you look in “My Public Profile” from the settings, I had it set to “None”. After sharing the basic information it worked … (duh).
I still receive the JavaScript error on the page and it doesn’t update the “My Profile” Page in WordPress, but a F5 solved that. Thanks,
