Issue logging in

  I can log in to my wp admin panel but not wordpress.com because my email was somehow set to (email visible only to moderators and staff) but I can’t figure out how to check that email on my hostgator cpanel and I don’t know what to do. I have never been able to check that email so I have no transaction IDs or anything. I don’t really understand what is the difference in my wordpress admin and this wordpress.com and gravatar.
