Issue with a photo and a related URL from WordPress

This is regarding ambappraisal.com/wp-admin/edit.php, of which I’m an administrator. I uploaded a photo from the web but never used it. It seems to have a URL from WordPress…even though it wasn’t used, I’m being sued by a company that says I used it without permission. I didn’t use it, but did upload it into my file. Is there anything I can do to fight this?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi there!

This is regarding ambappraisal.com/wp-admin/edit.php, of which I’m an administrator.

I’m afraid we aren’t able to help with this as your site at ambappraisal.com isn’t hosted by us at WordPress.com. It’s using the open-source version of WordPress from WordPress.org, and it’s hosted by Bluehost, a different hosting company.

There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it well: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org.

You can post general questions on the WordPress.org support forum here, but I’m not sure if folks there can help you with legal questions, as we, too, can’t provide legal advice in this forum.

You can contact your hosting company (Bluehost) to see if they have any resources available to help you in situations like this. If not, it might be best to consult a professional for legal advice.
