Issue with an unerasable spacer
-
Hi I have this spacer between my header and image that is found within the body. The dimensions spacing is all set to 0 and there is no spacer, so I don’t understand why that is there.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have checked your website and I can see the spacing in two of those pages which you have on your website on /portfolio and /ambitions page.
So in order to remove those spacing, I can see that you’ve used margin on the image block, can you try to remove those from Edit Site or Edit Page from the top menu when logged in.
If that doesn’t work, try checking global spacing which can be found from “Edit Site” option from the header menu and then click on the “Styles” icon on the right hand side of the top menu when logged in, and then click on “Layout” you will find “Block spacing” there try to make it zero and let me know if that unerasable spacing goes away?
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Vishal

Hi @matteoavello35!
I checked out your site, and it looks like you were able to fix the issue on your home page by adjusting the image margin as @vishalmukadam suggested. If you’d like to do the same on your Ambitions page, you can make the same adjustments on the page template by following this guide:
https://wordpress.com/support/templates/edit-the-page-template/
I also confirmed that your site is now showing as public on my end. Just wanted to check in and see if you still need any help with this?
Also, I just wanted to mention that since you’re on a paid plan, you have the option to contact us directly from your dashboard. Feel free to follow this guide for more details:

If you’d prefer, you can also email us at help@wordpress.com, and we’d be happy to assist you privately from there.

Hi Vishal and Elcristofue,
Thank you very much for your time to respond and your help.
I managed to solve it and forgot to give me suggestion for other people. For the people wondering. I added a negative margin and that fixed the problem, I did -20 for the top and -25 for the bottom, and that tidied it nicely. May not be the best fix but it worked for me.
Now for the the page not being live even if it shows it has been published… I went to my website https://matteoavello.com/ and as I am logged on, went to ‘My Home’ page, found ‘WP Admin Dashboard’ on the right, go to ‘Hosting Overview’, ‘Settings’, ‘Site Visibility’, then finally choose ‘Public’.
Even if my page was published that WP Admin Dashboard prevented my site from working.

Hi @matteoavello35,
I really appreciate you taking the time to come back and share what worked for you.
I’m glad to hear you were able to resolve both issues. Thank you as well for explaining the steps you took to fix the spacing with the negative margins and to make the site public again by updating the Site Visibility setting. I’m sure that information will be helpful to anyone who runs into the same situation in the future.
Since everything is working as expected now, I’ll go ahead and mark this ticket as resolved. If you ever need any further assistance, you’re always welcome to reach out. We’ll be happy to help.
