Issue with missing pages / unwanted spam links on my WordPress site

Hi everyone,
I’m facing a strange issue on my WordPress site where random pages are appearing in unusual folders (for example inside plugin directories), and I did not create them manually. These pages look like spam or auto-generated URLs and I’m concerned it might be a security or malware issue. I have already run a basic scan, but I’m still seeing suspicious paths being created.
Can anyone help me understand what could be causing this and how I can properly clean or secure the site?

What site are you talking about as we can only help with sites running on the wordpress.com platform. As it looks you are talking about a selfhosted site, follow instruictions as given at https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/faq-my-site-was-hacked/

You’re correct, the site I’m referring to is a self-hosted WordPress installation rather than a WordPress.com site. I wasn’t aware of the distinction when I posted the question.
I’ll review the hacked-site documentation you linked and continue troubleshooting from there. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
