issue with site

Im having an issue that doesnt allow me to edit editor php files of theme:
Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.
I have tried a lot of things, from going to previous version of wordpress, uploading previous site backup, but nothing worked. Please I need your help as I think this is a wordpress related issue.

This form assists with sites hosted here at WordPress.com but https://miraclehour.wordpress.com/ hasn’t been updated for a while. If you are talking about an unnamed site hosted elsewhere using the WordPress.org software then the correct support forum is:
