Issue with the indexation of my web in google.

    Hello.
I have an issue with my blog that I hope someone can solve.

More than 1 month ago I created a web with wordpress.com and did all the typical steps to index it on google like sending the sitemap created by wordpress to google search console but the pages barely appear (after sending them to index one by one lately there are like 50% of them, before barely a few). Google search console says that the pages are detected but not indexed. I sent the sitemap many times and nothing.

I did the exact same thing with other sites I created and most of the pages appeared in 2/3 weeks.

I hope someone can explain me what can I do and why even when the process works better it doesn’t index all the pages.

  • What is the URL of the site with the problem?

  • Thanks for that. I’ve looked at the site. I think what will be most helpful for us is if you can provide some more details about your expectations.

For example, are you entering keywords in to Google and surprised that your site isn’t being displayed?

    Thanks for answering.

I started using this domain for my blog 5-6 weeks ago (instead of the free wordpress domain). My expectations were quite normal, having the articles indexed in 2-3 weeks (that’s what happened with other websites I created with the same method). I’m not an expert but I have some experience.

I sent the sitemap etc and found that after 4-5 weeks google had detected but not indexed like 80/90% of the articles. 1 week ago I started sending the pages one by one to google search console and some more pages are appearing (but many come and go), it might be 50/60% indexed at best. As for your question I’m checking this on google with the “site:(url)” method and the issue isn’t that many articles don’t appear at all and many of the ones that do aren’t permanently on google. I assume it’s normal that they don’t appear too high but they should at least appear after 6 weeks.

    *I meant “the issue is”.

  • That all sounds about normal in my experience. It can take Google a few weeks to start indexing a new site, but a few months to fully index it.

They tend to start with the newest content first.

My experience with free blogs is 2-3 weeks for an almost complete index so it’s strange that it works worse with a paid domain although i know google is quite random and might take long sometimes but what tells me something is going wrong is that google indexed a few pages in a couple of weeks but nothing more in the next 2 o 3 weeks (the rejected pages were detected at the same time that the rest) until i send them one by one that and then some pages started to appear (and disappear). Plus it’s absolutely random when it comes to newest and oldest content.

I’m not the kind of person that expects instant results at all ’cause I’ve done some sites and know that is a long process but I think something isn’t good this time.

  • Everything is all set up properly on this end, so it’s up to Google at this point.
