Issues after changing blog address and deleting the old one

  I’ve changed my blog address from tianyiz.wordpress.com to tianyizf1.wordpress.com. After that I’ve deleted the blog tianyiz.wordpress.com. My blog visits have significantly dropped. I noticed that now google search still provide my old blog address, which when you click in it, it says it’s deleted. Also I can’t change blog address back to the old one as it says that name is taken?! I can’t use redirect as my old address is deleted.. what shall I do to direct people in my new blog address?

  I wish there were stronger warnings about this AND that deletion weren’t the default for what happens to the old blog. So many people have such problems.

  Can I still set redirect from my old address to the new one?
