ISSUES WITH A FEW THINGS

When I enter my pages, I can’t find the page I was setting as my Homepage but when I click edit site it’s there? Im happy to delete the one when I click edit site and redo it but its not even giving me the option. I just supposedly published an about page but it isn’t loading as my about page.

Hi there,
I can see that you appear to have edited the “page template” which is shown at the top of the list here.

To explain briefly how templates work, when you add text here you are adding it to the template that all pages use as their starting point. That is why your About page, Portfolio page, etc, all use this same starting content.
Instead what I recommend is that you reset the page template (normally it’s best to leave it empty by default) and you can do that by clicking on the option you see here in my screenshot:
Resetting the page template will change all pages back to being blank again, instead of having the same content on every page. Once you have done that you can instead create a new “Homepage” at this link: https://wordpress.com/pages/
Just click the option (on that page) to create a new page, then set up your homepage this way, with the title and text you would like to display on home.
Once you have the page ready, click “Publish” then go here and choose your newly created page as the homepage of your site: https://megachromemedia.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php
This is the setting you will want to change to your new page:
That will set your new homepage as you like, and then you can edit your other pages (which are now blank) one at a time as well.

Still having an issue, is there anyway for me to completely restart over without deleting the whole site and loosing the URL

We can completely empty the site if you’d like.

Thank you! Yeah I can’t seem to decide what I want to do. To start off with I want the website to be a bit of a portfolio but to be able to go onto different pages depending on what the image is of. I created a Wix site a few years ago which is something I’ve. been trying to recreate. I eventually want my website to be somewhere that clients in the future can come and view my work and contact me. Going along the lines of Media work, such as photography, videography and maybe a few blogs from time to time. https://meganwheller.wixsite.com/meganwheller

Oh, you can create a similar site using blocks. For instance, add a Gallery block, set it as you like, and then clicking on each image, link it to the desired page:

You can add ad many galleries as you like.
For the header image, you could try a Media&Text or a Cover block:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/cover-block/.
To display your blog posts, it’s best to use the Blog Posts block that allows various ways of displaying your content:

Thank you! What theme would you recommend?
We have hundreds of themes and you can review the different options and use the search field to narrow down the features to the specific ones you’re looking for – for example I looked up “portfolio” and here’s a selection of themes that would be good for a portfolio site:

You can use that search field to look up other features as well.
Also How do I link pages to the photos?
You would need to use the “add link” feature of the Image Block:

Hi, how do i remove the blog feature on any of the themes? I don’t want a blog at all and its not giving me the option to delete the blog page.

Looking at Appearance → Customize → Homepage Settings, it looks like you don’t have a posts page set:
In this case, you’re on the right track. If you have a blog posts block on any of your pages, you can remove it by selecting the block and clicking on the three
