I've been very silly…
-
Hi All!
Sorry if this has come up countless times, but I’ve made a booboo and was wondering if someone might be able to help me…
I’ve managed to lose the login for the /wp-admin on my website and don’t have a way of finding out what it is. It was fine before I had a 500 error on my server today.
Thanks!
Ellie

Hello! Could you please provide the address of the website you’re having trouble with?
Thank you!

I’m glad that you solved your issues :)
Anyway it looks like your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We cannot help with this in the WordPress.com forums so your best bet would be to ask for help in the official WordPress.org support forums here https://wordpress.org/support/forums
next time you need assistance.Take care and good luck!

I have to correct myself: by searching your website on WHOIS I realized that your webiste is indeed hosted on WordPress.com, so ignore my reply above, you’re in the right place to ask!
Just a note though: it looks like you have a paid plan, so you have access to chat and email support directly from the WordPress.com staff, they will surely help you out quickly and effectively!I apologize for my incorrect reply above and wish you good luck again!

Hi there,
@airalis93 – I think you were right the first time.
mercurysupport.co.ukisn’t hosted with WordPress.com. Whois Data is saying the site is hosted with GoDaddy. Where are you seeing that it is hosted here and that it has a plan? -
staff-doublebassd Your are very much right, and I’m very sorry for the inconvenience caused- when I searched the website on WHOIS for the first time it indeed showed that the website was hosted on GoDadd, but then I double-checked just to be sure and it showed that it was hosted on WordPress.com instead, but as I had a several forum tabs opened I must have mistakenly pasted the wrong address on WHOIS and didn’t realize.
I apologize again for the inconvenience and I hope I didn’t make the life of you or your other staff members harder, this will surely be a learning experience for me, from now on I will make sure to double and triple check before submitting any answer :)
