I’ve deleted my site. How can I stop it from appearing in search engine results?

  I wanted to start over using another hosting site, so I’ve deleted my website. I would like my previous site to stop appearing in search engines because I’m planning on posting more or less the same content on my new site. Please help.

  It can take some time for search engines to update their index, and WordPress.com doesn’t have any control over this. Over time, search engines crawlers will realize that your site is gone and they will update their listings. You can read more about how this works here:

  In Google’s case, you can try to speed things up by requesting a site removal from search results by following the instructions here:
