[AFAIK, this hasn’t been asked before, so please link me up to relevant discussion if otherwise]

How to configure Jetpack forms to send email/push alerts whenever there’s new content?

I’ve been discovering them several weeks later.

Jetpack Forms are meant to send and email whenever you post new content on your site.

You find all info regarding sending newsletters at https://wordpress.com/support/newsletter/send-newsletter-emails/

  • Hi there!

It sounds like there might be a bit of a mix-up between two different Jetpack features, so let me quickly clarify:

    • Jetpack Forms are contact forms — they let visitors send you messages through your site (like a “Contact Us” form). They’re not designed to send out alerts when you publish new content.
    • What you’re looking for is the Newsletter / Subscription feature. This is the one that automatically sends email notifications to your subscribers whenever you publish a new post.

    How to set it up:

    1. Go to Settings → Newsletter in your WordPress.com dashboard (or at https://wordpress.com/settings/newsletter/).
    2. Make sure the option to send new posts by email is enabled.
    3. Your subscribers will then receive an email each time you publish a new post.

You can also add a Subscribe block to your site so visitors can sign up to receive these notifications.

Here’s a detailed guide that covers everything: https://wordpress.com/support/newsletter/send-newsletter-emails/

If you’d also like to receive a notification yourself when a new post goes live, you can subscribe to your own site using a different email address — that way, you’ll get the same alert your readers do.

Hope that clears things up! Let us know if you have any other questions.
