Jetpack Installation on localhost site

  I am working on a website for a client and would like to use the Jetpack plugin, however, I will be developing the site on a local server running through MAMP. When I try to connect the site to WordPress it obviously can’t hit my site because its running locally. Is there a way to configure Jetpack so that it will work on a local server?

  Not at this time, Jetpack requires a publicly accessible URL to function.
