jQuery Plug-in Deployment…Image Folder?
-
I’m seeing a lot of surly and short remarks to simple questions about jQuery. Like don’t bother us with this since you don’t have a premium account. I’ve upgraded my site to: http://bobtraweek.com and this is my first wordpress domain but not my first rodeo. Websites are my business. And NO I don’t have your premium monthly fee. Quick question, short answer. Can I deploy a jQuery plug-in to display within MY current domain set-up? I’m not in the mood for an upgraded monthly fee schedule. I’d rather transfer of the dns to get control of the site away from wp so I can FIND a suitable way to control my content and insert jQuery or any other plugins that I choose. I don’t subscribe to monthly fees for something that I can do myself on my own domain. A surly answer will place this into refund status very quickly. Your help should be more helpful and not so arrogant. Thanks.

Hi Bob, we don’t actually allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons, whether they use jQuery or not, and even on accounts with a bundle upgrade.
Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org. You can find out more about this topic here: http://support.wordpress.com/plugins/
However, we do have several built-in features that were inspired by many popular plugins. You might find what you want by searching for it at http://en.support.wordpress.com/
What feature are you looking to add with a plugin? Maybe I can help you find an equivalent here on WordPress.com.
For more information on the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, please see: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Please let me know if you have any other questions and I’d be glad to help.
