JSON error when I upload an image
-
My site was updated yesterday, and now when I try to upload an image, not only will it not let me upload directly below the title (no ‘+’ appears to add a block), but when I add a block elsewhere I get an error message about JSON.
I have no idea what to do. Yesterday it worked – today it doesn’t. I need a simple explanation, too, because I am technologically challenged.

Hi there,
I checked your site and it appears you’re in the wrong forum. Although your site is connected to WordPress.com via Jetpack, it is using the open-source WordPress.org software and you need to seek help at these forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums
These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. Since we do not have access to self-hosted WordPress.org sites, we are unable to provide any direct assistance to your issue.
If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org you can read this document:

Thank you! As noted above, I am completely clueless about this. I will re-post in the proper forum.
Take care,

I am utterly flummoxed. I don’t understand how my site is a .org, not a .com.
I don’t know the difference, and when I sign in, it takes me to the .com version of this.
I am in desperate need of help. I have zero idea what I am doing.

It appears that my last post as a .com site was five years ago, and now it’s a .org, but WTactualF. I am not sure when/how that happened, what that means, or what any of it has to do with anything.

And when I try to login to wordpress.org, it says that none of my email addresses exist.

WordPress.org is entirely separate from how you log in to your site and from WordPress.com.
If you’ve never had an account at WordPress.org itself before, you’ll need to register an account there first.
