  hi I’ve never created a blog on wordpress.com before, if you get lots of traffic does it help to chage the colour on the site everyday?

  No, it hurts. People like to know they’re on the same site and find that kind of switcheroo really disorienting.

  I suggest finding a colour and theme you like and sticking to it. I haven’t changed my theme in months and I got 3001 hits yesterday. Nobody complained they were bored.

  The #1 mistake newbies make is focusing too much on the look of the blog and not enough on the content. Trust me, some of the biggest names in blogging have ugly blogs. It really doesn’t matter if what you’re saying is interesting. Concentrate on the content.
