just updated backwpup, now getting error message

  Instead of my site loading, I now getting the error message
  Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘$value’ (T_VARIABLE) in /home3/jfyten/public_html/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/vendor/aws/aws-sdk-php/src/functions.php on line 36
