  How do I know that my site is free now?
  I am staying but I cannot pay right now
  I saw the word ‘Free’ beside the Upgrade button

  Your site, we262.wordpress.com, has no active upgrades. So yes, it is now a “free” WordPress.com site and you will not be charged for anything unless you choose to upgrade in the future.
