Kubrick theme error :(
-
It’s kinda hard to explain, everything except my custom header has been replaced with an eerie sort of smiley face thing >_< (using Kubrick theme)
http://pukui.wordpress.com/ – please tell me if you see the same thing I do (posts, header, and weird “=]” looking smiley face – no background or sidebar) and any solutions would also be greatly appreciated.
For the record all I have in my sidebar is a countdown timer (from tickerfactory.com), a jpg image, a list of categories, search button and some text – everything was working fine yesterday, but today it’s gone a bit funky..
help? -
I see your header, and the smiley face is called Angela. She is harmless; WordPress.com uses her to count your stats, and she appears on every single page of your blog.
Try the cookie dance: log out, clear browser cache and cookies, restart, and look again. If it doesn’t appear perfectly normal, report back.

Ah, NOW I see your problem; you’re pasting. Do NOT ever paste from Word or from elsewhere in the web without stripping out the formatting by pasting either into Notepad or into the HTML editor of your blog. What’s happening is, you’ve got unclosed tags.
Copy the text of your last post. Paste it into Notepad. Delete the post. Then, copy the stuff in Notepad and paste that. This will strip out the tags and prevent the problem.

Angela will give me nightmares.
Also, I just noticed my sidebar is there, its just been pushed right down to the bottom… am I the only one seeing this? :(
I’ve cleared my cache and cookies and all that but it’s still messed up -

See my remarks above.
As far as Angela goes, she was named after Dr Mike’s ex, who had a nasty habit of showing up and startling you when you least expected it, and she was ALWAYS WATCHING. So yeah, she is a little creepy.
