$latex rrbracket$ gives me a parse error

  • Unknown's avatar

I really like that wordpress.com typesets latex math. Unfortunately the following code currently gives me a parse error when it should be outputting the double right square bracket symbol ‘⟧’

    $latex rrbracket$

The problem can be easily fixed if the line usepackage{stmaryrd} is added to the preamble of the code used to generate latex snippets. stmaryrd is a widely used latex package containing numerous useful symbols. I’m guessing that its inclusion would benefit many of your users.

Would you kindly see if one of your developers can make this change.

    Many thanks,
    Keki

  • Hi Keki, thanks for the feedback – I will pass it along to our developers to see it can be implemented in a future update.

  • Hi Keki, this is a little bit late, but I just wanted to let you know that the stmaryrd package for LaTeX was implemented a few weeks back, so you can try using it.

Just let me know if you encounter any issues with it. Thanks again for the suggestion!

    Thank You Kathryn!

Now, if I didn’t have to end every latex snippet with the very ugly looking &bg=ffffff&fg=333333, I’ll be *really* happy :-)

  • I’ll find out whether there’s been any change on that front and let you know if there has!

Just wanted to let you know that this is still on our developers’ radar to tweak, though I don’t have an ETA. I’ll keep you posted here.
