Launching site

I’m trying to launch my site. I have a domain that I am hosting so I don’t need to buy one. I have it pointed to my WordPress URL already, I just want to launch the site on WordPress without doing anything there. During the launch process, I click ‘skip purchase’ on the choose a domain page, but it brings me to a page where I have to purchase something. Can I just launch it without doing anything with a custom domain? Thanks for your help.

We have two options for using a domain you already own with a WordPress.com site:
Mapping allows you to keep the domain registered with your current domain registrar and direct it to your WordPress.com site: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
A transfer would allow to manage both your site and domain from the same place: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/
