Layout glitch on blog
-
Hello,
I posted a new post, and some of the text and photos don’t appear where they should. They are at the top of the page, overlapping content and blocking links. I don’t know how to fix this. This error appears on Firefox and IE. I already cleared my browser’s cache and tried fiddling with the HTML.

What is the URL or title of that post?
Are the missing images from it in your media library? This error appears on Firefox and IE.
Which versions of those browsers are you referring to? If you do not know check here http://supportdetails.com
Post that answers and then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. The glitch happens both on the homepage and the post’s URL.

The media isn’t missing actually – it’s not where it should be on the page. I wish I could attach a screenshot because the glitch looks funky. At the top of the page is a large white box that’s never been there before, and over the white box is one my pictures and some text that somehow got shifted from their original place.
I’m on Firefox 50.0.

Screenshots can be helpful. You can use http://snag.gy/ or http://cloudup.com to share screenshots and link to them here. If you use the WordPress.com guide for screenshots http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/ you can and upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it.

Hi @shansen42, the link you sent is broken; did you delete the post? I can’t look at it unless you restore it. But my guess it that an HTML tag was not closed properly.

@timethief @supernovia Sorry I didn’t see your replies sooner! I decided to delete the post and re-publish it today. Everything looks fine now. I took special care with the images this time. There may have been an HTML problem, but I didn’t look carefully enough.

Alright, if you need help with this again, go ahead and start a new thread. I’d recommend adding the “modlook” tag for staff attention. Please also make the post a draft rather than deleting it so staff can view it. Cheers!

Got it. I’m new to posting in the support forum, so I’ll be sure to do those things in the future.
