Layout/picture issues
-
Hi – I have the columnist theme, and I’m trying to figure out how to control which picture shows up on the home page (the one that you scroll over to read the post). Please help? =)
Here’s my link: http://houstonsmenu.com/
Thanks,

They’ll need to be set as featured images and be at least 180 pixels x 180 pixels.

Awesome – totally didn’t even know this feature existed.
A couple more questions:
(1) Is there a way to change that thumbnail without having it as the header on the post? Before, the only way I could figure out is to completely rewrite the post and make sure I upload the picture I want first.
(2) Is there a way to get my gray background to go to white? I’m assuming it has to be coded in somewhere since it’s not an option in the appearance section.
Thanks a bunch!

1. No, that’s part of how that theme handles its featured images.
2. You can adjust your theme’s background via Appearance -> Background in your blog’s Dashboard.

My background is set to white. There is something else in the coding that makes it gray that I don’t know how to change.

Ahh – perfect. I’ve been trying to figure this out for the longest time. Thanks so much!
