learning management system

Hello, I am considering using a Learning Management System Plugin on my website. Are there any considerations I need to know about (from the WordPress end) prior to creating an LMS? Thanks, Eric

It is not possible to install plugins on WordPress.com, for security reasons. Plugins can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress blogs. Here’s some information about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:

Hi Shawna, and thanks for your reply.

I have a WP blog and have picked out the LMS plugin (specifically designed for WP).

I guess a better worded version of my question is, are there stipulations about space? I see that the Business upgrade has unlimited space. Is this what it would take to support an LMS?

Hope that helps, and thanks for your input.

It sounds like a plugin for the open source WordPress project. There are tons and tons of plugins available for use with the free WordPress software. However, here on WordPress.com, you’re utilizing a shared platform, so we can’t let users install their own plugins.
