  Some readers wish to leave a comment for me, but are asked to link to a website???

  Hi there,

  The WordPress comment form shows a website field for logged-out visitors, yes, but that’s not a required field and you can submit a comment without filling that out.

  That field is there for people who do have a website, and want to add a link to their own site so that people can reach it by clicking their username on a comment.

  Hi @ttiberius, they should just be able to leave it blank. Are they running into trouble with that?
