‘Likes’ are not showing up
-
No post ‘likes’ are showing up on my site. I can’t see them anywhere, not even on the statistics page. Yet, I have ‘likes’ enabled (I checked in the WP Admin section); and readers have sometimes told me that they have clicked ‘like’ on a post of mine. How can I fix it?

Hello,
Thank you for your reply!
This is the site I am referring to: https://hingihkaballikale.wordpress.com/.

Your Like button does appear to be functioning properly: https://d.pr/i/eUAA7u
That screenshot is from https://hingihkaballikale.wordpress.com/2020/03/30/kas-kate-pesemine-aitab-terve-olla/
If you don’t see it, or it’s still not working for you, first please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

Hello,
Your ‘like’ is not showing up for me. The only ‘like’ showing up for me throughout the history of my blog (since March 2020) is the one given by Emili Aslett (my daughter) in March for the same post you marked as ‘liked’.
I tried all the steps you listed in your recommendations, and on both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. I have used Mozilla Firefox for writing and editing my blog posts. I did discover that I didn’t have the latest version of Firefox on my computer but the previous one – version 83. I now installed version 84 (the latest). The problem persists. On Chrome, I was already using the latest version (87). I tried all the steps on Chrome, too, as said, but it made no difference.
After I had gone through all the steps including clearing my browser’s cache and cookies (but before disabling the add-ons), I asked my mom to ‘like’ a post on my blog on her computer. She did it (clicked on the ‘like’ box with the blue star below my most recent post). It didn’t show up for me.
I then also tried the last recommended step – temporarily disabling all add-ons – on both Chrome and Firefox; and refreshed the blog, as I have done after each step. Nothing changed. I can still not see your ‘like’ or my mom’s. The only ‘like’ throughout the history of the site is still the one from my daughter in March.
What can I do next?

Your ‘like’ is not showing up for me.
I removed it after leaving it.
Let’s focus on your mother here. What is the URL of the post she Liked and the username on her WordPress.com account?
-
Alright, you removed your ‘like’. That explains why I couldn’t see it. :-)
When it comes to my mother, she ‘liked’ my latest blog post: https://hingihkaballikale.wordpress.com/2020/12/16/vaike-kahurikuul-lendab-komeedina/.
My mom doesn’t have a WordPress account. She clicked ‘like’ as an external reader. Has the site been set up so that only the ‘likes’ of those who have a WordPress account will show up?
-
Only users that are logged into their WordPress.com accounts can leave “likes” on posts, otherwise, there is no way for us to tell you who liked the post :).
