Liking my posts
-
Traders can’t like my new post or follow me. When they try it asks them to join up and then thinks they want a website. What have I done wrong? This hasn’t happened before.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Traders can’t like my new post
WordPress.com evidently reserves the privilege of Liking a post or page for WordPress.com members. The Likes support page says.
Note: You must be logged into WordPress.com in order to use the Like button.
Second,
…or follow me
Without being logged in to a WordPress.com account on the browser I used, I was able to follow your site using the follow button without being required to register a WordPress.com account. The “Sign Me Up” button prompted an email message to be sent which contained a confirmation link. After confirming, I was taken to a “Subscription Management” page which included an invitation to login so that I could “more easily manage” my subscriptions. But I wasn’t required to login, prove that I had a WordPress.com account, or create one.
This hasn’t happened before.
You’ve previously had Likes by non-WordPress.com members?

Thank you for your reply. I have had a number of people say they are ubable to sign up to follow me. They say they are sent to a page which wants them to sign up for a website. I will pass on your instructions and see what happens.

You’re welcome. If it happens again you may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic to call for staff attention.
