Limit Login Attempts

    I am using the Limit Login Attempts plugin. The Lockout Log shows constant failed login attempts. I started to Blocklist the IP addresses, as well as some of the User Names.
    However, when I enter, say 5.188.62.*, IPs that start with the first three segments are still getting through. So I entered 5.188.62.21-76 (because I had IPs ending with 21 and 76), but then I get ‘The ‘5.188.62.21-76′ IP range is invalid’. Is there a way to easily block a range of IP addresses?

    We can’t help directly because we don’t host goldenroosterde.com on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.

    Instead your host (IONOS) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. Specifically we use a custom login system on WordPress.com (for enhanced security) and do not offer the Limit Login Attempts plugin as an option.
