Limit reached error during purchase?

    During sign-up/purchasing, I get the following error:

    Limit reached. You can try again in 60 minutes. Trying again before that will only increase the time you have to wait before the ban is lifted. If you think this is in error, contact support.

    I haven’t done anything out of the ordinary and this has blocked my purchase. What’s going on?

    I don’t see any purchase attempts made on this WordPress.com account. Also, the site you mentioned is not hosted by us. Can you confirm what you were trying to purchase, please?
