lingering site name confusion

  Hey WP Community . I am in the process of building a new site through WP and notice an old 2017 Blog name I chose but never used , published or launched keeps coming up in my WP information. How do I get rid of that old ‘site’ while still retaining the blog name for use on my almost finished new WP website? Why does it still exist? Thanks
