link for my email address

  I used to be able to click a button and link my email address for a shortcut to email. It’s no longer there. How do I do it.

  Hi there,

  What is the URL of the site you need help with? We’ve never offered a dedicated button to insert an email link on WordPress.com.

  To create an email link, type the text you want to be visible, high light it, and click the link icon in the editor. Then type mailto:youremailaddress as the URL.

  that is my problem I cannot find the link icon in the editor anymore. The bar that used to be there with the link icon is gone

  Ah, okay.

  In what type of block are you adding the email? If it’s a regular paragraph block, you should see a small toolbar appear directly above the block whenever your cursor is in the block. That toolbar should have a link icon.

  It’s also possible that toolbar is stuck to the top of the screen, if you’ve enabled the Top Toolbar option in the editor settings.
