Link my blog to my corporate website

  Hi

  I am a professional sofware architect and wish to share my knowledge in my blog. However I have my own corporate website – that is my new software development company, and wish if possible direct some traffic that I will eventually get in my blog to my corporate website by having links in my blog posts.

  I got really confused with the terms and conditions and types of blogs (http://wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/). I am not good in understanding legal english – I happen to be so stupid on this. But my question is simple:

  Can I link to my corporate website? and my blog will not get deleted? I won’t have affiliates of course but is a corporate website were it can generate sales from the traffic I can get from my posts. Is this allowed?

  For reference the following are the TOC and types of blogs:

  Business: Professionals ranging from realtors to lawyers and stock brokers are using WordPress.com blogs to share their expertise. And companies are discovering the power of blogs to communicate with their customers via company news and announcements, product reviews, user stories, testimonials, etc.

  and

  Affiliate marketing blogs: Blogs with the primary purpose of driving traffic to affiliate programs and get-rich-quick schemes (”Make six figures from home!!”, “20 easy steps to top profits!!”, etc). To be clear, examples like people writing original book or movie reviews and linking them to Amazon, or people linking to their own products on Etsy do NOT fall into this category.

  You can link to your corporate website in your sidebar but not repeatedly in your posts. Some bloggers put a link in every post to drive traffic to their corporate website; they get deleted. Blogs which, in staff opinion, exist primarily to drive traffic to an off-WP.com site will get deleted or suspended. But blogs which discuss business issues in a responsible way and link to their corporate parent no more than appropriate in context don’t get deleted.

  Contact staff directly for more information. That’s only what I’ve seen in two and a half years here.
