linked wordpress.org blog
-
I have stupidly installed the jetpack plugin on my worpress.org site in order to see the stats on my iPad but when I was asked by jetpack to link to wordpress.com I stupidly again set up an account. Now when I go to my site dashboard the page is blank. When I go to the wordpress.com dashboard I can see the .org site is linked but I can’t unlink it. I’ve broken my .org blog! Can you fix it please?

Jetpack seems to be linked to http://www.designillustrated.co.uk/blog/ . Are you able to login through this link ? If not, please check if your wp-admin is folder contains any files.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

I get a blank page when I use that page, I think maybe because I’m already logged in?
I’ve had a look in the wp-admin folder, am I looking for a jetpack file?

Could you name a few files that’s located in your ‘wp-admin’ folder? Is your wp-admin folder located under your ‘/blog’ folder?

Sorry for the delay, back from the office now. Yeah >wp-admin is in >blog but I can’t see any reference to jetpack in any of the file names, there is a jetpack folder in >contents>plugins but I can’t delete it as I do not have permission.
I wanted to send you some screen grabs to show you the folder contents, is there an email I can send them to?

Right, I’ve just spoken with my web guy who set up the wordpress.org account for me and he managed to remove the jetpack plugin from the server so I can now see my dashboard again and everything seems to be running fine so far.
I won’t be installing jetpack again and I would still like to know how to unlink my site from my .com account as I don’t see the point of the connection anymore and I don’t want anymore problems. Is this possible?
