LinkedIn views not showing

  Hi

  I have been tracking views on LinkedIn and I am not sure if they are supposed to tally here. For example – mini glossary of key terms for interpreters had 50 views on LinkedIn and mental health and stigma currently has 16. That doesn’t appear here. Should it?

  WordPress.com only counts views on WordPress.com. So if someone clicked from a social network to view your article on WordPress.com, that would be counted.

  Hi!

  Thanks for your feedback. I think that the views from LinkedIn are not registering. I can see on their site that I have had between 20-35 views for each of the last two posts but that is not showing up here. Any idea why that might be?

  The wordpress.com share icon displays only the number of times that icon has been clicked on the blog post itself on your own site. WordPress.com does not have access to stats reflecting sharing that is done on the linkedin site or on any other social network site. Are you clear on that?

  Ok that makes sense – so someone could click on the post on LinkedIn and it wouldn’t show here because they didn’t come to the site itself. I appreciate it!

  Yes. Only the clicks on the share icon on the post itself on your blog are recorded by wordpress.com. You’re welcome.
