Linking Bluehost Account to WordPress
-
I purchased a domain name through Google Domains and purchased a two-year plan for the site on Bluehost. I’m able to edit my site (which hasn’t officially launched) through the Bluehost Portal, but after a period of time, the Portal asks me to log into my WordPress account. I didn’t have a WordPress account at the time of purchasing my hosting plan. I’ve tried making an WP account and using the account information when Bluehost prompts me to log-in. Every time, it says the information is incorrect, even though I’m able to log-in successfully on the WP site with the same information. I’ve tried going through WP to link the accounts, but WP wants me to purchase a plan through them or ‘map my domain,’ which also looks like it costs money.
There is a button on my Bluehost home page to go to WordPress. When I click this, I end up on an error page. I don’t know what to do.
TL;DR: How do I link my domain, my Bluehost account, and my WordPress account?

The site mentioned does not use our managed hosting environment from WordPress.com. Instead, it’s set up on the open source WordPress.org software which is something different.
