Linking IP Address to my domain

    Hello, I already have an IP address to my amazon web server, and I am trying to connect it to my domain name through wordpress so I can have my own domain that routes to my IP address. Could anyone help me with this?

    I’m not sure what you’re trying to do.

    If you’re trying to connect a domain you already own to a site hosted on Amazon servers, you need to contact your domain provider for help. Your account does not own any domains on WordPress.com, and the free address at calebbozarthsites.wordpress.com can only be used on WordPress.com; it’s not possible to point that address to another host.

    If you mean you’re trying to replace your WordPress.com site’s free address with a custom domain, that cannot be done via the method you’re describing. The only way to connect an existing domain to a WordPress.com site is via our domain mapping upgrade, and that requires a paid WordPress.com plan, and that you point the domain’s name servers to us via your domain provider.
