linking my domain to wordpress
-
I only want to link my domain to a wordpress account. I do not want to change any of the DNS settings or otherwise redirect my domain from my current provider. how do I do this?
-
So, unless I’m misunderstanding your request, the short answer is “You can’t”.
It is generally not possible to point a domain to a WordPress.com without changing the DNS in some way. Nameservers being the most common, but A Records also being a possibility.
Is there a reason that neither of those options will work for you?

Heres the issue, I have a domain with wordpress installed hosted on a server other than WordPress. I recently upgraded Jetpack and am unable to configure its settings without being told to select which wordpress site I want to use. Im not able to find a workaround for this. Any ideas?

Ok, since that is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, you can still work with it on WordPress.com, but you’ll need to install the Jetpack plugin to do that: https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/
-
And, if you do have Jetpack installed already, you’ll need to connect it from the Jetpack section of your site’s Dashboard.

That’s it … it is connected through Jetpack, however I’m dull getting the pro.pt that requires me to select the wordpress site. My connected site through Jetpack is not showing as an option in wordpress.
-
Ah, the site is connected to a different WordPress.com account, not the one you’re currently logged in to.
You can either log in under the connect account, or try disconnecting Jetpack from WordPress.com at Jetpack > Dashboard > Site Connection > Manage Site Connection in your site’s Dashboard, then connect again when prompted to the desired account.
