linking my existing domain with my WordPress site

  I have a domain name http://www.konstelacija.hr which I would like to link to my WordPress blog konstelacijakroacija.wordpress.com. I have followed the procedure of mapping my domain name to my WordPress blog, paid 13$ and updated my name server to the given specifications (NS 1 2 and 3 WordPress).
  I wanted that when anyone types in http://www.konstelacija.hr that they get directed to my WordPress site konstelacijakroacija.wordpress.com. Instead the other way around happened. When I went to my WordPress site, it directed me to http://www.konstelacija.hr, but not the other way around!
  I have cancelled this then.
  Why has that happened and what do I need to do to get what I want?

  You did the right things, you just gave up a little too fast. It can take 24-48 hours for domain/DNS changes to propagate throughout the internet. It typically happens faster than that, but it really depends on your ISPs update frequency.

  Thank you rootjosh for your reply. So, if I waited the right way redirection would have happened? In which case I just need to follow the same steps again and wait a bit longer?

  Assuming you followed all the instructions correctly, that was almost assuredly the issue.

  It just takes some time for that stuff to sort out and update across the internet.
