  I’m not sure exactly what you are trying to set up. Can you clarify? You are trying to add a link to your portfolio page on your homepage so that visitors can access it?

  Another option would be to add a button (that links to your portfolio) https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/buttons-block/

  Another option is to add a site menu to your header, which will show major page links no matter what page you are on. More info on how to set that up here: https://wordpress.com/support/menus/
