linking products in cart

    I have an ecommerce style affiliate site. Customers put the products they like in a cart, when they go to checkout they are put on the Amazon site to finish the purchase.

    But currently my cart is saying the product is listed as ‘simple/variable’ and it needs to be ‘external/affiliate’ This all worked before. The only thing that has changed is I dont have my Amzon API yet. I was using the person I bought the site from API. Is that the reason?

    Firstly I have about 1900 products that have been imported from Amazon. So it would be a huge undertaking to convert every single product manually.

    In addition, to convert each product I would have to also link the external amazon webpage link.
